Jive Basic Commands
Jive code is embedded in HTML text using braces. The braces may
enclose an external Jive command or multiple basic Jive commands.
Basic Jive commands are concerned with creating and assigning values to
variables and with basic control structures.
The basic Jive commands are:
- Creating and Assigning Variables
- Control Structures
- Special
- shell Command,
shells out to operating system to execute
a command
- expression, output to HTML text
A basic Jive command can also be an expression. The value of the
expression is output to the HTML page. No other Jive command produces
HTML output.

We have {if count count else 'No' end} bananas.
